The UCSF lab is a cognitive neuroscience research lab where novel testing is done to determine if things such as video games and cell phone use have a negative effect on our minds. The center has a focus on studying the neural mechanisms of memory, attention, and perception, how these processes change with childhood development, normal aging and dementia, and how we might intervene therapeutically to alleviate cognitive deficits.
