The Foster Care System: What Works, What Doesn’t, and How You Can Make a Difference

The featured speaker for this riveting Foster Care program will be Paulina Astafuroff.  She will share her personal story about growing up in the foster care system,  transitioning out of the system, and finding her way to UC Berkeley where she is  currently enrolled. Paulina now supports other foster care youth as a counselor, academic advocate, and workshop leader.

Paulina will also talk about how the foster care system works and what challenges girls  in particular, face during and after their foster care experience.
