Great Decisions: America’s Global Affairs Discussion Group

Informed Citizens Make Better Decisions

Great Decisions is developed by the Foreign Policy Association (FPA) to serve as a catalyst for developing awareness, understanding, and informed opinion on U.S. foreign policy and global issues. Through its balanced, nonpartisan programs, and publications, the FPA encourages citizens to participate in the foreign policy process.

Great Decisions is America’s largest discussion program about world affairs.  The program model involves reading the Great Decisions Briefing Book, watching a DVD pertaining to that week’s topic, and meeting in a group to discuss the most critical global issues facing America today.

There are nine sessions beginning in late January or early February of each year. This group is open to both AAUW members and non-members.
