Informed Citizens Make Better Decisions
Great Decisions is developed by the Foreign Policy Association (FPA) to serve as a catalyst for developing awareness, understanding, and informed opinion on U.S. foreign policy and global issues. Through its balanced, nonpartisan programs, and publications, the FPA encourages citizens to participate in the foreign policy process.
Great Decisions is America’s largest discussion program about world affairs. The program model involves reading the Great Decisions Briefing Book, watching a DVD pertaining to that week’s topic, and meeting in a group to discuss the most critical global issues facing America today.
There are eight sessions beginning In late January or early February of each year.
Topics for 2019 are:

- The Middle East: Regional Disorder
- Nuclear Negotiations: Back to the Future?
- The Rise of Populism in Europe
- Decoding U.S.- China Trade
- Cyber Conflict and Geopolitics
- The United State and Mexico: Partnership Tested
- State of the State Department and Diplomacy

Tuesday Afternoon Group Leader – Mary Ellen Blake
Begins January 29, 2019 at 1:30 PM Locations for this group rotates weekly with location announced a week prior to each meeting. The January 29th meeting will be at the home of Beverley Nidick, 91 Tumbleweed Court, San Ramon CA 94583
