Quest Science Center Collaboration

AAUW DAW is proud to announce our collaboration with the Quest Science Center in bringing fun, free, family-friendly, hands-on STEM programs to our local communities. This association with Quest is aligned with our AAUW goals to advocate for and to enhance equitable opportunities for learning and education. In support of the organization, we will inform DAW members and Tech Trek alumni about upcoming Quest events, encourage people to volunteer at the events, and help promote events through our branch’s communication channels.

Quest’s mission, as a non-profit organization, is to inspire and nurture every day and lifelong STEM engagement by individuals of all ages. It’s a leader in informal science experiences and outreach, forging strong partnerships and significant community engagement in our region. It is committed to fostering inclusion and creating a welcoming experience, so people of all backgrounds feel a sense of belonging and excitement in the exploration of science and technology.

Quest’s largest, signature event is the annual, one-day Tri-Valley Innovation Fair held each April at the Alameda County Fairgrounds in Pleasanton which attracts 3,000 people each year, from families with small children to seniors.  The Fair features some 60+ local technology innovators and educators who provide interactive STEM exhibits highlighting innovation in our region.

Quest also hosts Science @ Stockmen’s Park, a Saturday series of STEM events, held in Livermore during the spring and summer. Closer to DAW’s area, Quest participates in the annual San Ramon Valley Art & Wind Festival in May and the Danville Veterans Pop-Up Museum held over the Veterans Day weekend at the Danville Veterans Memorial Building. Quest STEM education and outreach programs serve communities from Tracy to Danville to Castro Valley. More than 20,000 people attend Quest community events annually.
